Hi! I just wanted to ask about how you evented the environment interactions in battle? Like attacking the stack of boxes? I think it's a really neat way to make turn based battling systems more interesting

Hi Anon, sorry for the late response. 

Here are tips on how to event an interactive environment in battle.

1- All interactable objects are actually enemies! 

2- Set up a skill type for interaction, and other skill types for attack, defence etc 

3- Using Yanfly’s Target Core and Selection control plugin, you can control what skills can select these environment objects and what skills cannot. In the enemy box for the environment object, use <Cannot Select: SType XX>, with XX being the skill type. I go through all my skill types that are incompatible with the object and list them as “Cannot select”. 

4- Interact skills also need some kind of control. In the skill note box, use <Custom Select Condition>   if (target.name() === ‘XXX’) where XXX is the name of the environment object. For example, a skill called “Climb” should be usable on objects you can climb, such as ladders, so in the Climb skill’s notebox, you need to put a custom select condition that returns true if the name of the target is "ladder” (should match the enemy name)

These are basic tips to get you going. Of course there are different scenarios depending on which kind of objects you are adding to the battle. I hope these give you an idea of where to start!
